AUTOMATIC FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS

We use the automatic fire signalling systems for early detection of fire in the protected area.

The system is signalised with a siren and the transfer of the alarm to the Security surveillance centre of Varnost Maribor and to the fire service.

Basic building blocks of the automatic fire detection system are:

• fire control panel,
• optical detectors,
• heat detectors,
• manual buttons,
• modules for controlling air conditioners, elevators and so on,
• sirens.

Implementation

Our customers can individually decide for implementation of the automatic fire signalling and detection system. However, in case the study on fire hazards indicates and anticipates such system when the building is constructed or reconstructed, than the installation of such system is essential and urgent.

Project engineering

Prior to the start work project for execution (PFE) is prepared, in which the number of the necessary elements and their functional interconnectivity into the system are established. The systems design is performed in accordance with the guidelines, which derive from the Vds standards. The company itself can implement the construction of the system; however, they must own a licence for technical protection of the facilities. When the systems are installed they are examined by an independent institution with competent authorities, which issues a certificate regarding the faultless and correct operation of the system which shall be valid for a period of five (5) years (or until the change in the system).

The automatic fire detection system must be continuously monitored through uninterrupted presence of people at the facility or through the transfer of the signals onto the company, which has a licence for fire protection of the facilities.

Regular maintenance and servicing

For faultless and correct operation of the systems, regular maintenance and servicing have to be provided. In accordance with the Rules on the Inspection and Testing of Built-in Systems of Active Fire Protection (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, number 22/95) the liable person must ensure regular technical maintenance of the automatic fire detection systems, under the below stated conditions:

the operator of systems maintenance can be the person who installed such system,
the manufacturer of the equipment or the company which was authorised by the manufacturer of the equipment, which is installed within your facility,
the operator shall have the licence for performing the technical protection,
the maintenance shall be carried out in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
