PROTECTION AGAINST FIRE
Everything you create with your colleagues in the company can easily disappear in tongues of flame within a few minutes. In order to decrease such possibility to the lowest possible level, the area of fire safety has to be regulated in accordance with the requirements of the Slovenian legislation.
Implementation of fire regulations
Fire regulation with prescribed appendices represents the basic organisational regulation through which the company governs the field of protection against fire. The provisions of fire regulation clearly identify: responsibilities, preventive measures, disposal of combustible wastes, the estimated number of users in the building or facility, control over implementation of measures and activities in the field of protection against fire, instructions relating to the reaction in the event of fire and the content and the periodic of trainings of employees for protection against fire.
Elaborating assessments of fire risks
The purpose of the assessment of fire risks is to determine fire risks of the facility in which the company carries out its activities. Such assessment represents a starting-point for planning certain measures of protection against fire because the implementation of measures against fire depends on the degree of the fire risk (implementation of the fire protection and evacuation plan, periodic of trainings of employees for protection against fire, drilling the evacuation from the building, the level of professional education of the person, responsible for the protection against fire and so on).
Training of employees from the field of protection against fire
The employer must ensure, that every person who is gainfully or temporarily employed in this company, is properly educated regarding the protection against fire according to the programme which covers theoretical and practical knowledge mostly regarding relationships on the workplace within individual business or industrial facility (regarding the working conditions), regarding the hazards of occurrence of fire or explosions, preventive measures, regulations on protection against fire, equipment for protection against fire and the use of means for extinguishing the initial fire.
The employer shall receive training on more than one occasion: at the time of first taking up their post in afterwards periodically in accordance with the fire regulations of the building (every two to three years).
In addition to the basic training of employees in the field of protection against fire, we also implement the below stated trainings:
- for persons, responsible for extinguishing the initial fire,
- for persons, responsible for implementation of the evacuation plan.
We also provide assistance with organisation and implementation of practical training for evacuating from the building in the event of a fire (obligatory once a year for facilities, which demand implementation of an evacuation plan or more than 100 people can be present in the facility).
Executing the tasks of a professional worker for implementing the measures of protection against fire with customers
Our company performs statutory prescribed tasks of a professional worker in undertakings (customer institutions) for protection against fire, authorised by the owner or the users of such buildings. The core tasks of the professional worker are the following: consulting in the field of protection against fire in regard to the applicable legislation, training of employees for safe performance of work, executing control on facilities regarding the protection against fire, preparation of regular written reports on condition, managing the prescribed records, determined by the fire regulation, cooperation with the Inspection Service from the field of protection against fire, cooperation with Police Department and Fire Department after the fire and so on.
Supply, installation and service of fire extinguishers
The fire extinguishers are placed in the building in accordance with the requirements in the project documentation or based on the previous calculation. Based on the continuous trainings of our service engineers we are able to ensure professional installation and maintenance of all supplied fire extinguishers as well as the delivery of original spare parts. We have also obtained an authorisation for maintenance of manual and transportable fire extinguishers of the following manufacturers and types of fire extinguishers: Pastor (Croatia), Gloria in Total (Germany) and Urban (Slovenia).
Testing and technical control of hydrant network
We perform testing on the hydrant network system in accordance with the prescribed procedure upon which we later issue certificates on faultless and correct working. In compliance with the obtained authorisation, we also perform regular annual technical control with the issue of all prescribed documents. Besides, all that we also supply original spare parts and additional equipment for hydrant network system.
Measurements of lightning installations
Based on the Rule on technical regulations for lightning conductors we perform examinations and measurements of lightning installations due to protection of facilities and building against lightning strikes. Examinations and measurements are carried out when new installations are built in, after the lightning strikes, after the reconstruction and periodically (every 1 to 5 years) regarding the intended use of the facility. We also prepare an official record after the completed examination, which includes the determined values. Such report must clearly indicate whether the installation is faultless and if not, what kind of repairs is required.
